I always learn so much about people during proposals! I partnered with The Yes Girls to create this tropical-inspired proposal at the infamous Del Coronado for Manny and Jaz.
Since the proposal is a smaller process than the wedding, I get more of a chance to talk to the bride and groom-to-be and learn so much about people, careers, and cultures! Jaz was telling me about her career as a Crime Scene Investigator, which I’m positive we all find so compelling and brave! If you’re reading this, thank you for your service in helping catch the “bad guys” Jaz.

During the photography portion of our proposal, I also learned that for Indian culture, it is tradition not to photograph the couple kissing until the wedding date. I feel like for Manny and Jaz this supported the moment of excitement and anticipation for the big wedding day that you can clearly feel emulating through their photos!

As far as the venue goes, the Del Coronado is a world-renowned destination and the epitome of beach paradise. We set the scene by bringing in lush foliage to create an aisle up to the celebration seating, resulting in the perfect tropical-beach feel without the flight! I chose light and bright florals for Manny, which thankfully were a perfect compliment to Jaz’s beautiful dress.
This was such a fun project – I love doing proposals!
