I was lucky enough to be asked to create a beautiful bouquet for a wedding photoshoot back in July – my first wedding out of the deeper quarantine. I was ready to get back into the shop, and immensely grateful for the opportunity to again do what I love. Carla and Tom were already such a good looking couple, that photographing them in front of this historic building at Balboa Park was a dream come true! I hope they look back at this special day and be proud of themselves for making the most of this time, and not what was going on in the outside world. They were so genuinely happy to celebrate their love together, that it made me happy! These are honestly some of the most gorgeous photos I’ve seen in a while, and I can’t thank Stephanie Weber, their photographer, enough for asking me to design Carla’s bouquet.
One of the photos the couple took says, “Nothing Fancy, just love”. I can see where the reception being postponed made this a different occasion, but they did a phenomenal job with what they had!
I was also really excited about this marriage photoshoot because it was one of the first times I got to showcase a new design style that I really feel called to lately. Carla’s bouquet was a bit more organic with pops of color, included a bit more wildflowers, and is overall a bit looser and free flowing than my previous creations! I love both, but am really excited to see where this next chapter of design takes me.
Please enjoy the photos below, and let me know if you’d be interested in a couple’s photoshoot like this one!
